Fantastic experience: My son has been attending this Manurewa pool swimming lessons for a while now, and the improvement in his skills has been amazing. The teachers are incredibly supportive, patient, and genuinely committed to helping every child progress. He enjoys every class and always comes home more confident. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great swimming programme with fantastic instructors

Negative experience: First time visit- 1 hour waiting time. Second visit - Sauna and spa only, both pool sides were closed no explanation and had at least 5 life guards standing around. After an hour a team utilised the deeper end of the pool and then people were allowed to finally swim in the shallower pool??? Two stars just because the prices are cheaper compared to the Papakura pools

Positive experience: The children and I come here every morning around 7am to get exercise for me while the children warm up for the day playing before school... It's been very healing and the staff are wonderful. I find it clean with well structured walking and swimming lanes included next to the public freestyle area. My son uses the gym daily as well as the steam room/sauna and really enjoys the warm atmosphere there

Negative experience: I Just wanted to give feed back on the sauna here. I've used papatoetoe one it's always so clean and fresh. Even the wood is brand new. And I see them clean it alot. I can see dirt in the gaps at this one. I train here sometimes so a sauna after is important but needs some new wood and doesn't look clean like we will catch something. I'm not putting anyone down. I know feed back is always a good thing. This sauna Just looks old and always dirty! I've used these gyms and saunas years but only twice at manurewa. I heard otara one is nice. But I know definitely papatoetoe is always looked after. It's Just more easy to train and have the saunas right there after. Papatoetoe gym doesn't have a sauna. Needs a good make Over and its very dark inside. I hope this helps. The staff here are awesome tho.

Fantastic experience: Really nice pool for lane swimming. Water is clean and the facilities in general seem to be well maintained. Front of house staff have all been friendly and helpful too. And I like that cat that sometimes sits on the front desk :)

Fantastic experience: I love the gym and the staff here! It's also very private for me to get a comfortable workout! And the weekends are open late some of the gyms shut at 1pm! So I can go to church on Sunday now and come train after... Awesome

Positive experience: It's okay. Nothing fancy and facilities are standard. Good for casual lane swimmers. Kiddy pool is simple and tiny compared to most but it does the job. Sometimes they're lagging behind cleaning the pools, but when they do clean them, they do a good job of it. This particular site has no free wifi so may want to take that into consideration if you're a parent with older kids who want to swim but you don't.

Negative experience: One day the female staff at the reception support you, most day's they don't. Girl power will respect the females They're never keen to compromise your belonging to keep your things safe from getting stolen or supervise while you enjoy swimming, relaxing using the spa or sauna. Disappointed about the fact that my only transport is an eletric scooter that can bend and fit inside the admin room tuck beneath or beside anywhere safe but told I have to use a bike stand outside for my scooter and yet anything happens it's my fault I'm 70 metres away in a close building with no vision to see my belongings if anything happens to my scooter yet it's my fault why can't she compromise my belongings so I can enjoy my time with them and recommend to other people...

Fantastic experience: I love the spa pool and swimming lanes, plus the price is awesome as I have a yearly pass and it massively better priced pool compared to Papakura pools which is why I will always go to the Manurewa pools any day of the week or year.

Fantastic experience: Popular joint gets plenty of foot traffic. Clean. Switched on alert staff. Equipped for water polo and water hockey. Tasty lil cafe for kai. Get your winter dip drip swim on.

Negative experience: Honestly, I really hate this place.The changing rooms are disgusting most of the time with grime and mold, the pools are often too crowded to swim in, people come into the pool with their clothes on,(which isn't allowed) or shower before entering the pool which is a rule. Not to mention how dirty the pool water is. All sorts of gross things in the water like large bandages and dirty hair accessories.The only reason I keep going here is because the nearest pools is Papakura which is a bit far to travel all the time.

Negative experience: Went back to the pools today after a break over xmas period and schools back .. Pool was dirty with tissues in the bottom of pool. Slimy underfoot and tiles filthy .. Alot of others in the pool were also saying it needs s good clean and had complained about it but nothing appears to be done ..

Positive experience: Not really made for kids, like Otahuhu pools, but I enjoy that the spa and sauna are adults only and separate from the rest of the complex. The family rooms seem to be always in use when I go there, but the women's changing rooms are accommodating anyway.

Positive experience: The fact that public pools in South Auckland are free is amazing the only thing I'd say is a negative is there pools should be bigger

Fantastic experience: Amazing public swimming pool! Entrance for 1 x adult + 1 x Child is free and the facilities are impeccably clean, toilets and changing rooms were the cleanest I've ever seen in NZ. Staff does an amazing job keeping the place clean! Lifeguards were plenty and visible. Pools are heated and very warm for my toddler - love how warm and comfortable it was! Had a great first visit and will be back for more!

Negative experience: Seems questionable to charge for access to the pool and gym together when the pool is pretty much unusable due to water polo being booked at peak hours throughout the year. The other pool is free for lap swimming, but is basically warm human soup and is full of kids crossing lanes. Gross.
