East Coast Bays Leisure Centre

Positive experience: A nice little leisure cente, male / female toilets and changing rooms and a full size basket ball court only, no pool facilities, possibly a small small gym room attached, I mainly go here for my sons basketball games.

Negative experience: Recently had a group booking for badminton for 5pm, though upon arrival (5pm) we were met with a few staff at the front desk who didn't seem to know anything about it- until they checked the bookings and saw it there. There was no apology or explanation as to why they hadn't set it up, nor for going into our paid booking time. We followed them through to the courts only to see four other staff playing with a ball on an almost empty court (1 kid was there), meaning they were not busy or understaffed at all. The older blonde staff member had a rude attitude the entire time and even yelled over at my partner to help her set up the net because she didn't know how to do it. This was while there was other staff members on the same court who were still not doing anything and could have helped her.. Eventually 6pm came around and she kicked us off the court as there was another booking after us, we asked if we could have the 10 minutes we lost at the start and she responded with "6 is 6". Was a disappointing experience. Don't normally leave a bad review but hoping this does not happen again.

Fantastic experience: Rates and user pays make the a quirky little gym, you can watch kids playing during the school holidays while doing lat pulldowns. Staff are professional courteous and kind. The gym dressing rooms are clean tidy and well appointed.Not only hair dryers, there is also an ironing station

Positive experience: Great place to exercise. They run LesMills classes, so check the group fitness timetable. Inside is small gym and basketball court as well. Holiday kids programs and other fun stuff.

Fantastic experience: Love this place. Body pump and body attack with Karen & Rochelle just make my day. Love these instructors and love the lovely staff and the other woman in the classes. Soooo good !!

Positive experience: Nice unpretentious venue that does the basics well with good parking within five minutes walk.

Negative experience: Low score based on cleanliness of facilities. The gym and group fitness rooms were so dirty and smelly. Yuck! The carpet in the group fitness Class was so disgusting, it was sticky. The staff however were all lovely, friendly and welcoming.
