Fantastic experience: Beautiful, clean and well maintained with no driftwood piled up.

Fantastic experience: Good camping spot. Payed 20$ for the night and got to see Little Blue Penguins at night. The area is very beautiful with lots of birds (oystercatchers, seagulls, etc). There is a public toilet nearby which is convenient. Cold shower also, and a water fountain with drinking water. The only bad thing is that local young people come here at night to meet and make noise. Fortunately they left after 10pm. Warm showers for 5$ at the Public Pool

Fantastic experience: Timaru Caroline Bay is a beautiful place and also wonderful that the Disc Golf is in the Caroline Bay.

Positive experience: Someone please tidy up the weeds, there's gorse bushes all over the wetland area, weeds for Africa

Negative experience: Lets call it Dog Poo Bay, at least 50 dogs here all off their leashes. Don’t think you will see seals or penguins as they will chase them all away. Spent the whole walk looking down to avoid all the dog droppings.

Positive experience: Caroline Bay is beautiful on a sunny day. It features an amazing new playground with instruments, a pretend sunken ship and so many more amazing things. There is also a bird aviary, a rose garden with sculptures and a nice beach.

Fantastic experience: Nice area near the beach, well maintained boardwalk over the dunes, multiple entry points to the sandy beach, outdoor cold showers and toilets available, ample free parking without time limit in the area, area for beach volley and disc golf, some fitness park spots and multiple benches to sit and relax on. On the east side is a penguin colony where penguins can be spotted after sunset. Great place!

Fantastic experience: A great place to spend time with your beloved family. There are various programs and theme parks for children here.

Positive experience: Has a lot of Stuff for Kids and is very Clean too. Only for Skateboarding makes this Park not much fun, because of the rougth concrete.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful family place to sit and eat ice-cream. Cool new bike-skills park built by local Lion Club is a great place for little ones to bike or scoot around while parents watch on. Shout out to Mrs Wippie for yummy icecream

Fantastic experience: Fun place! It is a big park and they have new playground for kids. Super clean and the view of the Bay from the top entrance is amazing! Ice cream at Mint is delicious!

Fantastic experience: Worth the drive from Dunedin to Timaru as a day drive just for the park with the kids and adults. Sadly was packed due to new years so will defently head back during the year.

Positive experience: Such a cold wintery day when I visited last, maintenance was happening so couldn't access some areas. But have been on better days and absolutely love it, definitely recommend to go in weekend on a sunny day!

Fantastic experience: Nice beach, picnic areas, playground, padding pool, skate ramps, mini golf and carnal with rides, side shows, competitions and concerts at the sound shell during the festive season. Plenty of family fun.

Fantastic experience: A beautiful treasure of the South Island. We are so blessed to have this beach. Perfect for long walks and a huge variety of sports.

Fantastic experience: It was fantastic. I'd never been there before. A great place for families with plenty of activities for kiddies as well as plenty of food outlets of all kind. I'd recommend it for sure.

Positive experience: Such an amazing park right between the beach and town. It would be even more amazing if this was some cool shops with an open cafe on bank holidays. We had a great time.

Fantastic experience: Lots of space that shares with Caroline Bay Association who host the National Wide Known Carnival every year. This space opens for plenty of area for recreational activities. It has BBQ areas closer to the playground, which is currently (2023) in process of being renewed. Tennis courts, basketball court and a court for Bike Polo. There is a central skate park and a roller skate rink that opens in seasons. Freedom camping off Port Loop Road across from Port that has doing and toilets. Must visit on our hot summer days.

Fantastic experience: The new year show. Went down south for the Tom Petty band and loved it. Turned up again for the 2nd round the next day. Nice walk around the grounds. Not too busy but good response from all attending.
