Fantastic experience: Eden Park, Auckland: The Spiritual Home of New Zealand Sport Eden Park is New Zealand’s largest and most iconic stadium. Unlike many modern venues, it is a multi-purpose arena with a rich history, serving as a fortress for Rugby and a high-octane venue for Cricket. 1. Cricket at Eden Park: The Famous "Short Straight" Eden Park is legendary in the cricket world for its unique rectangular shape, which differs significantly from traditional circular cricket grounds. Dimensions: The ground has very short straight boundaries (some under 50-55 meters) and long square boundaries. This creates a fascinating tactical battle where even a "mishit" can fly over the bowler's head for a six. High-Scoring Thrillers: Because of the short boundaries, T20 and ODI matches here are often high-scoring and incredibly entertaining for the crowd. Atmosphere: The "bowl" design of the stands keeps the sound inside, creating a deafening roar during close finishes. It hosted the iconic 2015 World Cup Semi-Final where New Zealand beat South Africa in a last-over thriller. 2. Rugby at Eden Park: "The Fortress" If you are a Rugby fan, Eden Park is a place of pilgrimage. It is the home of the All Blacks, New Zealand's national rugby team. The All Black Streak: For over 30 years, the All Blacks have maintained an incredible unbeaten streak at this venue. It is considered one of the hardest places in the world for visiting teams to play. World Cup History: It is the only stadium in the world to host two Rugby World Cup Finals (1987 and 2011), with New Zealand winning both. The Haka: Experiencing the Haka at Eden Park with 50,000 fans in total silence followed by a roar is often described as one of the most chilling and powerful experiences in world sport. 3. Spectator Experience Accessibility: Located in the suburb of Kingsland, it is very easy to reach via a dedicated train station right outside the stadium. Hospitality: The stadium offers modern lounges, a wide variety of local food/craft beer, and excellent visibility from almost every seat. Stadium Tours: For those visiting on non-match days, the Rooftop Walk and guided tours provide a behind-the-scenes look at the player tunnels and the historic trophy cabinets.

Fantastic experience: Visited icon Eden Park for 90 mins tour. It’s mostly for rugby fans. However there is some part for cricket fans too. It’s an iconic ground in Auckland with 40,000 capacity. Recently they hold many concerts too.

What an incredibly beautiful space and what a great experience.. amazing view over the whole park..a special place for sure. We were taken up by lift..easy access ..handy toilets.. Air conditioning

Fantastic experience: Have seen a few concerts and rugby games here. Transport to and from the shore is amazing. Security is excellent. Very well organised. If you ever have visitors, take the tour. Fabulous!

So much fun .. moving in and out was no problem at all (for us) I would recommend staying at the Convent hotel or some where else close as I hear that getting on the train after was hard work. There is loads of toilets and getting a beer was not a problem

Fantastic experience: I visited the fortress, for the Bledisloe cup game 2025. Great atmosphere. Good stadium food. The activities areas was a definite plus. Was lucky to grab a photo with Sonny Bill Williams and Sam Whitelock
