Jetts Browns Bay

Positive experience: Usually pretty good and not too busy. Good range of equipment. However music is always way too loud making the overall workout experience unpleasant.

Fantastic experience: It’s just a great gym where everyone is friendly- you don’t feel intimidated at Jett’s, all walks of life there , all levels of fitness, no competition, everyone friendly and they are close to home - I live in a radius of browns bay, long bay and Albany Jett’s, have used new Lynn a few times when I have dog sat for friends - always a great experience at every location and have everything you need - staff friendly to help if needed - really happy I switched from Les mills , also as a shift worker I love the 24/7 access , if you want a quiet workout you can- and if you feel like chatting, then there is always a regular face to chat too !

Negative experience: Tried to put my account on hold while waiting for new debit card, they still charged me and added interest for failed payments then refused to wave any of the fees when they acknowledged it was their error

Positive experience: Make sure when you sign your contract that you know that you will ONLY be able to access the Jetts gym you sign up to when you request an electronic keys. Jetts claim that you have access to all Jetts gym which is not the case and Jetts gym is in breach of their own contract. I addressed this issue to Jetts but they are not interested in addressing or replying to my valid complaint. I am still waiting for Jetts to fix this issue as they are still in breach of the contract I signed back in 2008

Fantastic experience: Great & humble space! Great manager

Negative experience: Not recommended for under 16s, as they are not provided with an entrance key and the door often remains locked during staffed hours. Extremely frustrating experience.

Fantastic experience: Pretty nice gym. Missing abductor/adductor. Otherwise all good. Not too many people after 20:00. Enough parking. Clean toilets.

Fantastic experience: Was only ever busy in the evenings, but for me, who usually went in the morning, it was super spacious and has all the machines you could need. Lots of treadmills, great weight racks and benches, cables, leg machines and a great assisted pull up/push down setup. Large, soft floor exercise area was great to use. Very clean. Hoping to come back in the new year.

Fantastic experience: Josh and Troi are fantastic trainers, both very knowledgeable pt boxing coaches. The gym is small but well equipped and is kept clean and tidy, which is always good it's run with a real sense of pride and community.

Negative experience: Jetts good if you gonna be their member for your lifetime. They lie about the cancellation process. I requested cancellation of my membership (since I got busy) from the same email I used to create the membership. according to the contract you just need to email them. I missed their replay due to my holidays and after a month I realised that they still charge me weekly. when I check my emails they asked me more info to cancel the membership. If they mention they need those information in the first place, I would provided them. Now this is a proper scam. why they couldn't ask me that at least in previous email? Because they want to see If I miss the email for couple more weeks so they can charge me for that period too. Why can't they have a quick option to cancel the membership on website or from the local Jetts gym? because then they can't scam you. I bet even in 90's we could get a membership cancelled quicker by posting a letter lol. Very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Jetts is an awesome gym. I love the friendly atmosphere. Josh is approachable and will help when you're a newbie to the gym. I would definitely recommend Jetts to anyone.

Negative experience: Did not like this gym. As soon as I walked in the door everyone stared which made me feel awkward also considering it was my first time here and the place is tiny. Even the worker seemed rude my cousin was visiting from Australia and wanted to do a gym sesh with me the guy made it very clear she had to be out by 11am which gave us 20 minutes. She also had to pay $15 an sign a lot of forms plus get her photo taken. Which I get that as she wasn’t a member but he definitely wasn’t the friendliest about it. I won’t go back here I feel more welcome at Long Bay Jetts.

Fantastic experience: Awesome friendly motivating staff, Josh and Troy are always there to help with technical movements and workouts. Venue clean and all the equipment you need and then some . Josh always has a gym challenge going and gets the whole gym to participate. Family culture.

Negative experience: Great staff working there. However, just be mindful when signing contracts. They do not care if you are struggling financially or medically incapable of going.

Fantastic experience: Lost a set of keys a few months ago and got a message from a bloke called Josh saying that they’d been handed in at the Browns Bay Jetts!! He was even able to tell me if they’d been used at all in the time I’d lost them and was kind enough to drop them off at the whangaparoa jetts for me so I could get them back! Absolute legend (Josh) I appreciate that heaps

Fantastic experience: I just wanna give a massive shout out to Josh for keeping the gym tidy and well organized, and keeping an extremely relaxed and wholesome environment. He has had a huge impact on both my motivation to train more, and also with feeling a lot more confident in myself when doing so. And I've seen many others impacted in the same way from him. Negative experience: Appalling, impossible to stop them taking money after cancelling my niece's membership last year. Had to cancel my bankcard, hopefully that will work as nothing else does. Customer service doesn't exist, answerphone goes straight to "this service is not available". Criminal.

Fantastic experience: Great to have a consistent, reliable experience when I visit Jetts. Equipment is well maintained and it's often a relief to enter the air conditioned gym over the summer months! I regularly visit at least four Jetts gyms on the North Shore (I know there are more than this) - so convenient. Friendly staff and trainers, keep up the good work!

Fantastic experience: Great gym very clean and tidy plus everthing I need to work out. Lots of gyms in the area but I think the weekly costs are very competetive but not really my main decision in joining. Keep up the great work.

Fantastic experience: I moved from city fitness as it was closer to my new house. It is a good gym low cost, clean, friendly staff and good equipment. It is lacking a squat rack, instead they have smith machines its they only downside of the gym.
