Fantastic experience: Bachata lessons, best instructors! Love it!

Fantastic experience: I’ve never had so much fun dancing as I have at Empire. When I first started a few years ago, I had only had experience in ballet and contemporary. I was 23, really shy and new to Auckland - but within a few months I began to branch out and try commercial and heels classes. I’m so glad I did! Claire is an absolute powerhouse and always makes us feel great about ourselves while choreographing some really fun and unique dances. Same with Georgia, Nat and Daniel - these teachers are so encouraging, talented and passionate and I am always inspired after learning from them. I’m so thankful I joined this community and for all the amazing friends I’ve made through learning and performing together. I can’t wait for another year at Empire and I honestly can’t recommend it enough

Fantastic experience: I can gladly say that joining Empire Studios has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! The confidence, enjoyment, experience and friends I have gained there are immeasurable. I am proud to be a member of the family that has been created in this special space and can't thank Claire and all of the incredible team there, enough! If you want somewhere safe to express yourself and feel fully supported and loved as you do, I recommend coming along to a class and seeing it all for yourself!

Fantastic experience: Taking classes at Empire is SO much fun!! After not having taken a dance class, let alone performed on a stage for a number of years, stepping into a dance studio was nerve racking, but Claire and the team welcomed me with open arms. Empire is such a supportive community, a no judgement zone, a space where I feel confident, I can be myself, and have HEAPS of fun. This made my transition back into dance (and learning an entire new dance style!) as seamless as possible. The vibrant atmosphere at Empire has reignited my passion and love for dancing and performing. Claire (teacher/owner) absolutely radiates positivity and lights up the studio. Her energy and passion is inspiring. Not to mention her thoughtfulness - she is amazing at catering to my working adult schedule, providing catch up classes when needed. I can’t thank Claire and the team enough for their support, and for providing me with a space in which I thrive.

Fantastic experience: Empire is THE PLACE to be. Whether you are a teacher, student, or hirer, the energy in the building is unmatched. There are studios to fit all types of work and development and you can honesty feel the community spirit through the facility. Claire, the owner/manager, really leads by example and is emphatic about conjuring a creative and professional environment. Teaching class there is ALWAYS rewarding. Equally, taking class there is rarely short of magical. Empire studios is default and desired studio space for cultivating art and community.

Negative experience: Enquired 3 times and never got my questions answered yet did get called the wrong name. Heard good things but doesn’t seem like they want new members

Fantastic experience: This place is easy to find and has a great atmosphere. The instructors for the salsa class are great and enthusiastic about teaching and helping people learn the dance. Very professional space and inviting for all people to come and have fun!
