Dunedin NZ Seiden Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate Do

Dunedin NZ Seiden Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate Do offers an authentic experience for martial arts enthusiasts in Dunedin, specializing in the traditional Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate. We cater to individuals of all ages, with classes starting for children from February 7, 2024, at 6 PM, and adult sessions commencing on January 15, 2024, at 7 PM.

For our younger practitioners, ages 8 to 14, our junior classes promote a fun and active environment where they can learn essential karate skills, build physical strength, and develop confidence. Classes take place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 PM to 7 PM, making it a perfect opportunity for kids to make new friends while achieving personal goals.

Adults can embark on their karate journey on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7 PM to 8:30 PM. Our adult classes focus not only on physical fitness and self-defense but also on discipline, health, and fostering friendships within the community. Participants will engage in kihon (fundamental techniques), kata (forms), and bunkai (analysis), with an emphasis on applying the principles of Goju Ryu Karate effectively in real-world scenarios.

To provide a welcoming introduction to our program, we offer a 2-week free trial for new students. Join us at our dojo located at 225a Main South Road, Green Island, Dunedin. We invite you to remove your shoes in the foyer and make use of the shoe rack provided upon entering. Classes are held upstairs in our main dojo, where a vibrant community is waiting to support your karate journey.
