Positive experience: Great position by the beach. Friendly staff. Nice cafe. Pool should be open for much longer season from September till end of April - or year round ! Could be made way better with some new facilities, hots pools and sauna & steam with view of the sea.

Negative experience: Place is decent but the creepy dude working there this morning prefers young attractive women and gives them discounts. My Girlfriend had to pay 4,40 for a shower whereas I had to pay 7,60 just 10 minutes later because I had to find a parking spot for our car.

Fantastic experience: Hot is an exaggeration, unless you've just come out of the ocean. However the temperature is just right for swimming in the lanes, and the small pool is much warmer to relax in afterwards

Positive experience: Really nice area and friendly staff. I do like that pool toys are supplied. The toddler pool deffs needs an update and was almost too hot for adults.

Negative experience: As a travelling point of view, this place was no good. The pool was set up for lane swimming only and the kids tiny pool thing was empty, I wouldn’t call it a “hot pools”. Toilets and showers were dirty and smelly. The cafe looked very busy and food looked good, but this is 2 starts for the swimming pool.

Fantastic experience: It was a cold day. But the water was warm. Fantastic pricing. I have wanted to go for ages so glad we went . Was fabulous.. clean and tidy facilities. Just beautiful

Negative experience: Went with great grandchildren as a treat but it was an absolute disappointment. , We found a shady spot at a table where we could watch them and get to them quickly if necessary but despite the website making no mention of a requirement to sit/stand in the beating sun with no shelter whatsoever we were told that you have to be right at the poolside to supervise under 10s. Our under 10 was only a week off 10. The "lifeguards" were rude, lazy and obnoxious. There is no point in their being there if caregivers must be ready to "offer immediate assistance". If we hadn't been honest we could have sat at the cafe table, which I am sure plenty of people do.

Fantastic experience: Just warm enough to make you actually swim, in a visually arresting piece of coast complete with Surfers carving up waves. Heated Salt water outdoor pool. No other frills.

Negative experience: The food was ok, but the way they bought the food was odd, first my smoothie, 10 mins later both of our slices, my friend asked if they remembered her coffee, about 5 min later her coffee and lunch came out, and a good 10 mins later my lunch arrived. I realise because we were outside we couldn't have proper crockery, glasses etc by the pools, but our drinks came out in old enamel cups that were incredibly chipped and I cant imagine that would be very hygienic. Probably the reason I have awarded two stars from me is because they were lucky I had a great friend there to chat to.

Fantastic experience: Amazing pool near the beachfront. Water temperature was 28 degrees, for me as a lane swimmer just right. Not many other swimmers there. I can highly recommend the cafe for a refreshing meal afterwards

Fantastic experience: Love swimming here! A bit trickier than usual because of COVID restrictions, but the water is warm and the setting is perfect. Friendly staff, and a wonderful start to the day.

Positive experience: Although it is advertised as a “hot pool” it’s more like a lane pool and a warm paddling pool. Good for lane swimming but you don’t get a view of the sea when you’re in the pool.

Positive experience: The location is fantastic. It's also great that it's heated. And the cafe is well stocked with treats. Only suggestion I would like to make is to have some times where the pool is for adults only eg 6pm onwards. And perhaps take away one swimming lane to create some more space when it's really busy.

Fantastic experience: Relaxing swimming. Friendly pool staff and delicious food at the cafe with amazing staff! One lifeguard saw I was a bit upset and found a sentimental earring that I’d dropped and gave it to me when I was having a coffee!

Negative experience: The pool was very sweet but our experience there was really bad. 10 minutes after we got to a fairly empty pool they let in a huge group of tourists. Well the pool seemed to have capacity so our family moved to the baby pool where our toddler was playing anyway. But this group of tourists got in the small pool and crowded us out, literally crammed in side by side until they were touching us. Our kid was crying. Staff did nothing! They refunded us and said there was nothing they could do, but they didn't even try. If you have a small pool with locals and kids and older people lane swimming and a massive tourist group turns up you need to tell them no, they should be renting the whole place.

Fantastic experience: I take my grandchildren to the pool and they enjoy it so much we stay for hours, they love using the flippers and the pool ' toys ' that are there to use and the sunscreen lotion that's also pool side for their use. and I can get a coffee and drink it pool side while still watching them, it's a great facility, Dunedin people are very fortunate. the salt water is beneficial for many suffering aches and pains also.
