Positive experience: I like it. I only visited the pool with my daughter and we both had a great time. The aquatic center boasts one really small pool for babies and toddlers and a generous sized toddler pool that is just deep enough for adults to sit in and supervise their children in comfort. There is another pool suitable for older children that is 1.4m deep at the deep end and a (presumably) Olympic sized pool. Pretty good facilities for a small town like Westport. The complex also has basketball courts, a modern fitness center and outdoor sports facilities which I think are hockey turfs and tennis courts. Plenty to do.

Fantastic experience: Lovely spacious pools. Unfortunately no luxury items like spa pools or saunas but none the less a great activity if you like water. Changing rooms are clean and there is a coffee machine and togs for sale. The gym and gymnasium(sports) are under the same roof and fitness classes like aqua fit and spinning happens upstairs. I think i saw a lift but are not to sure now ;).

Fantastic experience: I thought this was an excellent facility with friendly staff and very clean pools. The size of the complex was amazing for a small town. I particularly enjoyed the therapeutic pool which was warm, large and easily accessible.

Fantastic experience: Great hot and unlimited shower for 5$ Upgrade to swimming + shower for 6$ The shower is only hanging a little bit too low on the wall, that’s all. Friendly staff and very clean facility

Positive experience: Nice and cool place out of the sun except no airflow in the shower rooms of the swimming pool, can build up some heat in there in summer. Great place to swim outside of busy hours. Haven't been to the gym or elsewhere so this review is for pool only.

Fantastic experience: At this center they have 4 pools. A small "stadium" which has room for 2 netball / basketball court's. They also have a gym, a squash court and a wet hockey turf. It's quite a good little place.

Positive experience: On a stop in Westport when driving along the south coast of New Zealand I stopped over at Pulse Energy Recreation Center for a workout in the gym. Very professional and friendly people, nice equipment.

Fantastic experience: Love this pool. The place is never 'full' which makes a beginner comfortable to be there. The staff are always on hand to help or give advice

Fantastic experience: Exceptional facilities, a top class gym Better than a lot you'll find in far more heavily populated areas. They have missed an opportunity by not providing a sauna and Jacuzzi but otherwise an extremely impressive facilities with friendly staff.

Positive experience: The Solid Energy Centre is a fantastic facility well used by locals and I know many visitors from the rest of NZ we have had visit, have commented that they envy it. We use the pool, group exercise timetable, TRIBE classes, stadium for sport and attend regular events and functions in the Holcim room and stadium. Chuffed to have such a great facility on our doorstep in Westport. Staff are friendly and helpful and its a great place for families and those looking to keep active : )

Negative experience: Two and one half years ago had worst experience ever. Broke leg in gym and off work for over two months . Poorly maintained ancient gym equipment with important parts removed . Poorly mantained !!! Solid Energy Centre refused to compensate us for $3000 in lost wages. Not a problem For management.They still got paid big fat wages. Never again!!!
