Xcel Fitness Manukau

Positive experience: Overall clean gym. Good mixture of equipment; both for strength and cardio. Good air flow; has massive industrial fans. Toilets can be improved but no big deal. Some cable extension handles could use some upgrades.

Positive experience: The gym is small but well-maintained, with clean and fully functional machines. It’s not too busy, which is a big plus. While it could benefit from additions like a pec deck and proper pull-up bars, it makes good use of the available space. Overall, a solid gym for its size.

Fantastic experience: Good place too train at. Located in the heart of Manukau. It has all the equipment I need to complete my workouts, effectively. Staff are also nice and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym with plenty of space to do my own individual planned out workout. With upstairs I can use the sled and cardio machines, then downstairs is a big variety of quality weight machines. Always has good music on if you like hip hop and rnb. I’ve had an issue with something lately re: wrong bank payment and they’ve corrected and helped me with it. Have been here for years and I like the variety it gives me.

Positive experience: Great experience with xcel fitness so far far better than jets and city fitness for me not too crowded but just right although it is a very small space but that is good enough for me I am doing my rehabilitation for my damaged meniscus and so far it is going really good

Negative experience: I tried to cancel my membership at the airport branch 10 months ago and couldn't find the details for the that branch. I emailed manakau and they sent me a cancelation form for someone else and I called cause i just wanted to sort this. They told me over the phone it was all sorted but when my credir card details changed i started getting cahsed for payment. Really disappointed that i trusted these gyms.

Negative experience: Honestly the only good thing about the gym is that it’s usually quiet but other than that, this gym has got to have the poorest quality of hygiene that I’ve ever been to. The equipment is falling apart and nothing has been done about it. Its a pity because I enjoy that it’s local but it’s like they do nothing about maintaining their gym. From cleanliness to equipment. What you get from the price you pay is not worth it at all. People are great and very welcoming but the gym itself has a lot of work to catch up on

Positive experience: It's nice and quiet which is awesome for a gym. You don't have to wait your turn for machines and equipments. Had some confusion/ miscommunication w/ management but have settled our differences. The gym would get dirty at times but I noticed they've been cleaning more frequently which is good to see.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this gym for three years now and can say this is the only gym that I’ve ever felt comfortable in. It’s nice , feels private , not really pack and just love that when working out you don’t feel as if everyone is watching you. The staff here is really good aswell , really good people to talk too and very approachable.

Fantastic experience: This gym is fantastic! It provides excellent personal training. SO far it is one of the best facilities in the area, with a clean space and up to date fitness machines. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is motivated to get back in shape!

Fantastic experience: I wouldn’t have come to Manukau Xcel if it wasn’t for Shiloh & awesome trainer, motivator and really easy to communicate with. He gave me the confidence to get back in the gym, set goals and smash them!! If you’re looking for a good trainer this is your guy!!

Positive experience: great variety of workout equipment and very friendly and motivating gym members! not always the cleanest place. rules are very strict and fines are given commonly for the slightest of things. like omg is xcel fitness struggling to pay rent?lol anyways most of the time the gym isn't that busy which is awesome for someone like me who is very shy when doing her cardio:)

Negative experience: Friendly staff. Not much space to move around but definitely has plenty of equipment for all fitness requirements. Very affordable rate to attend on casual basis but difficult getting access into the building and staffed hours are very limited, got into the gym once but tried to return on a few Saturdays during staffed hours but wasn't able to get in - March, 2018.
