The trainers are fantastic — they understand your limits and really push you to succeed in your personal journey. One of the biggest things for me is being able to modify the exercises. I have an injury that prevents me from doing certain movements, but that’s never an issue. You can either ask a trainer for an alternative or choose one that works for you.

Super intense, but it is not an impossible workout to do. I am going back to my country and I really want to find something similar to that in my hometown. I super recommend for anyone!!!!

Fantastic experience: I was only in Christchurch for a week but this boxing gym really made me feel welcome. They were super accommodating and made it easy to jump into the workouts. I loved the setup with different stations that change daily—kept things interesting! The variety of punching bags was a fun challenge at first, but the two trainers were awesome. They explained and demonstrated every exercise clearly and made sure I got the most out of each session. Highly recommend for anyone looking to stay active and learn some solid boxing skills!

Fantastic experience: As a mature age female I was looking for something dynamic to improve my fitness and I have always wanted to give boxing a try. Josh and his team have been absolutely fantastic welcoming me into the gym and encouraging and supporting me every step of the way. It is fun and high energy in a positive environment and I come away from the gym on a high. I am doing things I never thought I could!!

I'm pretty sure the people are nice I haven't personally meet any yet just max which he is one of the trainer at papanui, Max had introduced me to the area of the steps, equipment and rules but with technology things like computers??? Yup Max had showed me but I'm no good at that lol The exercises is primo I find it hard with the skipping rope but I will get there step by step thank you for having me on board

The trainers were so patient and wonderful especially since I’ve never tried kickboxing before, and definitely gets you out of your comfort zone. They are very accommodating and those that are interested should give Round 9 a try!

Fantastic experience: I signed up via a Facebook portal for an introductory training session. The staff are friendly and encouraging, I really appreciated Josh explaining the movements and motivating words and Kate was a dynamic trainer during the boxing segment. They were friendly to me as a beginner and I felt challenged positively throughout the segment.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined 9Round and couldn't be happier with my experience. It's a fantastic mix of boxing and other exercises, organised into 9 rounds, each lasting 3 minutes. After round 5, you get the chance to do some basic boxing with the trainers, which is a great way to break things up before finishing the final rounds. The combination of cardio, resistance training and other exericses fit me perfectly, and after focusing on 9Round for 6 weeks, I've lost over 5 kgs! The staff here is incredible friendly and supportive - Josh is always there when you need him, super friendly, and guides you through each exercise. Trainers like Phoenix take the time to carefully explain the movements so you know exactly why you're doing them, and Don adds even more value with his boxing knowledge. The variety in the workouts keeps things exciting, with something new every day. Overall, I highly recommend 9Round for anyone looking to challenge themselves and see real results.

Anyone can motivate you, but Josh, Phoenix, and Dom go above and beyond in their commitment and passion to educate. Fantastic experience: I joined 9 Round to take part of a 6 week challenge. My ultimate goal was to improve my fitness and overall health. That was now 9 months ago and I am a 9 round junkie. The workouts are different everyday which makes it fun. Punching and kicking things is always a great stress relief. The atmosphere is comfortable and trainers are professional and down to earth. They also have a bodyscanner in the gym to track your progress, much better than just scales a d measurements to be able to see youve lost fat and gained muscle. I would highly recommend giving them a go

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t be more stoked with the one month program and results!!! I’d never stepped foot in a gym that didn’t have a basketball court before, so i was very nervous, as i was a little out of my comfort zone, but all the staff are really supportive, patient, kind, and have a good knack for keeping you motivated, so my nerves were almost instantly put at ease. They design a meal plan(as my nutritional knowledge is effectively nothing) that works in with what i basically already eat, just some minor adjustments and proper portion sizes relative to my goals, and didn’t break the bank either. The workouts change everyday, and it’s roughly 35 minutes to do the full circuit, so it’s very quick and ever changing so it doesn’t get boring, or feel like it’s a “cbf hardly have the time” sort of commitment, especially with the way it runs. People rolling in and out constantly, you can just get in where you fit in, no mucking about. I’ve finally figured out what the “high” is from going to the gym, i always thought it was just weird people who liked punishment….. but after a tough workout it’s a rather rewarding feeling, and after already seeing and feeling the difference, i’m just mad I didn’t decide to get my foot in the door sooner! There’s so much more i could rave about, but i’m not in school any more, so i’ll leave the essays in 2015 and just end it with…. I COULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MORE!!!

The gym is small, however it never feels crowded because of how the stations are set up. The facilities are in a great condition. The communication from the team has been clear and helpful both in person and online. Have only been a few times so far, however it seems to be a great setting for bettering my health :)

Negative experience: My contract ended end of November and I’m still being charged? Has anyone else experienced this?! Great venue, team and workouts but unsure how to stop the auto payment that should have ceased by now?! Is that my issue or the businesses? Have messaged and called with no reply. Other than cancelling my credit card which is more of an inconvenience for me? How do I recoup the money owing?! Unsure I’d join again at this rate.
