Fantastic experience: I work away from home (Eltham, Melbourne) which is where my regular Snap Fitness gym is. I love going to this gym in Christchurch, it's a short 1km run from my hotel (perfect warmup). The gym is in great condition, everything you could want. The best part is they also have gym towels that can be borrowed for your session (so I don't have to take an undersized hand towel from the hotel). This isn't something all Snap gym's offer, so a really nice local touch! I forgot my card on my most recent trip, but they sorted me out with a temp card for the week. Always look forward to coming here, great gym!

Negative experience: Snap Fitness needs to reevaluate their cancellation process. I signed up at this gym and have been going there consistently for the past month and a half, but because I was previously visiting the New Brighton gym they couldn’t cancel my membership for me. It was extremely inconvenient driving back and forth between gyms trying to find someone who could help me. I politely asked the gym owner to call Snap New Brighton for me and he just waved his phone in my face and told me I can call them myself. Very arrogant guy. I wouldn’t recommend going here if you want to be treated with respect.
Hi FlynnRegardless of the club you sign up at, the club you train at and use the most is where your membership gets transferred to. This is an automatic procedure that happens from head office. We have zero control over this transfer system. Like we explained to you, you need to cancel your membership with the club you are a member of. Our hands are tied and we can not access your membership at all. We handed you our phone to call that club you’re a member of, because it needs to come from you that you’re wanting to cancel for privacy reasons. I believe you didn’t need to go ‘back and forth’ between clubs as you only tried to cancel with us and being told we couldn’t do this for you, you decided to abuse our staff. We will forever provide above and beyond service, but to abuse our staff in situations out of our control are not ok. This has now resulted in you and your partner being trespassed from our club. Something we have never had to do since we opened 7.5 years ago.
Fantastic experience: The best gym in New Zealand the service from the old man was the best so comforting and the gym is top notch, the equipment is so new and up to date, facilities are always clean and staff are always there to assist whenever you need support, best part is the free Yorkshire tea

Negative experience: Today I tried to cancel my membership for the second time (because the first time they wouldn’t let me), and to my surprise a very arrogant person was waiting for me. I find it unbelievable that when I want to cancel my membership I am questioned so much. I’ve never had problems with gyms in the past, but today I was surprised by the arrogance and sarcasm of the gym owner. Very rude to me and my husband. A horrible experience.
Hi Catalina,You are a member of another Snap Fitness in Christchurch, you’re not our member. As We have absolutely no access to your membership we do not have the ability to cancel your membership on that club’s behalf. We did explain we can send that club an email, but the best thing to do is pop in to see them to sort out your final payment etc. We went over this numerous times with you while you got angrier and angrier with us. We have done everything we can do our end to alert the Club that you are a member of, to cancel your membership. A very disappointing rating for a club that is quite literally the ‘middle man’ in this. We would really appreciate this rating removed.Thank you and all the best

Fantastic experience: One of the better Snaps I've visited. I work as a tour manager, so have been to many in New Zealand and Australia and most are not as well-equipped or spacious. Very kind and considerate owners to boot. They extended my membership a couple of weeks to cover an unexpected extra 2 weeks and were trusting enough to let me come in and pay, even though I wasn't going to be in the branch until after the extra time had begun. Keep up the good work and friendly service!

Fantastic experience: I checked out at least 3 gyms before deciding on Snap Fitness. The locations are convenient, the equipment is good and the prices are affordable. The personal trainers are excellent as well. After about two months of training with Maria, I started gaining muscle and building strength.

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym, very friendly staff, very clean - staff always cleaning! All the stuff you need to work out. I was in CHCH for a week long conference and popped in to see their casual rates. Chris the owner was very accommodating, cheap week long rate (cheaper than ONE DAY at Les Mills my mate told me - not that I would venture there), bond for 24 hour access card, which you get back promptly. Could not recommend this gym more. They even have towels to borrow! Thanks very much Chris and your team!! :-)

Fantastic experience: Been training here since moving to Chch a couple of months ago.Best gym I've ever been to.The equipment is top notch and well maintained.The layout is good with plenty of room.Primo area for for boxing training,solid as heavy bag,hook and uppercut pad mounted on the wall.They even provide gloves and fresh inner gloves for people to use,good cleanliness and hygiene.Latest cardio equipment, assault bikes,skier,etc.I train early morning and the P.T's I see,know their stuff.If you're serious about training,this is the gym you wanna be at.

Negative experience: I was a member of this gym for almost a year on a no lock in contract. Came into the gym and spoke with the receptionist Aimee about cancelling my membership as I was moving overseas. Checked bank statements 3 months after and noticed that my account was still being debited. Asked them to cancel my membership and refund me. They weren't happy to refund me. I didn't think a business like this would resort to stealing from customers. I would treat carefully when giving this business your bank details.
This gentleman told our staff that he was off to Australia . The decision was made mutually to leave his snap gym active so he could have access to all the snaps in Australia. He never filled out a cancellation form.His review is 100% unjustified.

Fantastic experience: Such a great location to have a gym! I work right next door so it's super handy and convenient, they have modern spacious showers that you have access to so you can go straight to work after your session if you wish. The gym itself is set out well and has a great selection of equipment. I haven't personally been with a PT however all staff are always super smiley and friendly. Great work team :)

Fantastic experience: Iv only been to the palms snap fitness but I think il be only going here from now on (solely due to the equipment ,cardio is a lil older but they have a great range of gear I haven't even seen before which is nice for changing up your exercise program ) also the showers don't look like they contain every disease known to man I'd go as far to say they are nice showers hair dryer and hair straightener rigged to the wall for those well groomed ladies or guys on the go

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Snap CBD ChCh for the last few years and have been joined many gyms in New Zealand and Europe. Snap is up there as my favourite with its unbeatable mix of resources in the state of the art technogym equipment which is constantly being updated combined with Chris the owner and his wife Michelle's dedication to make it the best Snap in NZ. Fantastic experience: Best gym I've been too. Chris the owner really makes the effort to keep the gym in top form. Equipment is clean, tidy and well maintained. He's regularly in the gym greeting people with a smile, walking around seeing how people are getting on. I was a member when they first opened, then after a couple years away I chose to come back to Snap Christchurch CBD. Chris remembered who I was and waived the joining fee. I was really impressed with how the equipment looked, most looked brand new still (3 years after opening). Friendly, knowledgeable trainers as well. Aimee's been a great help, getting my strength back after time away from training. Free 1.5 hour parking above the gym. Regular monthly gym compititions

Fantastic experience: The best gym in Christchurch with a great atmosphere to go with. The gym's machines and equipment is new and always clean. Snap CBD has the most versatility with their equipment compared to any other gyms in Christchurch. All staff are all very helpful and lovely and the PT's are highly qualified.
