Negative experience: The older female receptionist at the front desk was very unfriendly. She felt like she was using her own slaves to ask us who had already come in to go out and come in again and swipe our cards to enter again. I felt like a fool. Your job is to serve, not to lead.

Positive experience: Huge gym facility, but during rush hours afternoon after work hours and morning before work hours not much space and machine to use.

Positive experience: Nice layout, I always struggle to connect to the audio system that links to the tv programmes. It shouldn't be that difficult........ but it is. Wifi also difficult to connect, won't accept email or password which hasn't changed for me

Positive experience: Love the atmosphere people an parking just would be nice to utilize those rooms when not in use or some shelf in the showers to hold our shampoos etc other then that staff there are awesome

Fantastic experience: The best gym! I am so pleased to finally find a gym that is spacious, clean, and have friendly staff. I enjoy my early morning sessions, the atmosphere is awesome, and is not so busy at 4am. Definitely recommend CityFitness Hastings.

Negative experience: Very busy between 5pm and 9pm. Certain machines and spaces are not enough and sometimes you have to wait for two hours before they are available. Groups of people play and talk around the machines and the staff do nothing, not even pay attention, even if they are disturbed by people who do not know whether they are there to train or to have a conversation. Staff work better in other city fitness outlets. People who come to play in groups are very uncomfortable.

Positive experience: lots of spacious parking and accessible from all directions. this location is by far the best place to have a business double doors make for easy access for disabled clients also and that's a big plus nowadays. will give higher stars if and when I use the gym then I'm able to give a better rating. I've got my own fitness plan going so I'm not using any gyms ATM but this establishment looks welcoming . watch this space

Negative experience: Make you jump through loops to cancel, required to give 4 weeks notice when I'm paying a premium for a monthly plan with supposedly no contract. Want to go on hold for a month or two - oh, that comes at a cost and you'll need to give them notice of that too. Crooks

Negative experience: Their showers are closed at certain times of the day. Not good at 11pm when you want to use the gym and wash off afterwards. I joined as a member specifically for this convenience but I'm going to change gyms now.

Negative experience: Wanted to stop in as a drop in for an hour and was told $25.00 or there is a gym down the road! A full month membership is less then that! Not the place to go for a drop in I guess.

Awesome well equipped gym with alot of open space to allow members freedom to maneuver around and train. Other members are generally friendly also and will help out if assistance is required and offer tips.
