Established in 1994, Kupa International Martial Arts is a premier martial arts and self-defense school located at 112 Market Street North in Hastings, New Zealand. With decades of experience and numerous awards for training excellence, we offer a comprehensive curriculum designed to empower students of all ages and backgrounds. Our classes are held upstairs in a welcoming environment focused on character development, physical fitness, and personal growth.
We provide specialized programs tailored to different age groups and goals. For our younger students (ages 3-13), our Kids Karate classes go beyond physical techniques, integrating a unique Bullying Awareness and Character Development program co-developed with experts from Australia and the USA. These sessions focus on building self-confidence, discipline, and respect, while actively preparing students for tournaments. We value parent feedback to ensure our programs continue to support children’s holistic development.
For teens and adults, we offer dynamic Adult Karate and Kickboxing classes. Whether you are looking to build muscle, shed fat, or learn practical self-defense, our expert instructors guide you through high-energy workouts that strengthen both body and mind. We also feature a dedicated Women’s Only Kickboxing program, providing a supportive and safe space for women to thrive. Our Adult Karate program focuses on discipline, strength, and traditional values, suitable for all fitness levels.

Positive experience: If you want to join a Martial Arts training centre with a family spirit. Where learning in a Fun manner and making sure everyone learns and being constantly checked to help improvement of the student no matter what age or level go check them out..I am sure you will be happy with what you will be taught. We have a Anti Bullying program that is 2nd to none come and check us out.
