Fantastic experience: Very friendly and helpful staff! The club is well equipped with many good classes and cleanliness is top notch. We're visiting from Canada and our gym is important to us - we'd highly recommend Baywave to anyone travelling or otherwise - thank you for helping us to feel we could keep to our routine while away from home.

Positive experience: I give this gym 3.5 stars, I would give it 5 stars if only the temperature and humidity inside weren't the same as rarotonga. I mean, it might not bother some, but for me it is too hot and humid thanks to the pool down below. There is AC but it doesn't do anything with the doors being wide open allowing for all the cold air to spill out downstairs and all the hot humid air to rise up from the pool area down below. It's a simple fix, just close the doors. Other than that, this gym has kind and friendly staff, great facilities, plenty of equipment that is functional and modern. Also, it is reasonably priced compared to other gyms.

Fantastic experience: A long way from Te Puke but an excellent gym with great people and staff, lots of room and lots of good equipment, very happy there

Fantastic experience: This place is an excellent large area with lots of great machinery free weights and classes Classes are Les Mills. The pools sauna and spa is a great addition to your membership as well as free entry to Mt hot pools with platinum membership.

Negative experience: No community spirit, all about profit. The fact the green prescription members can only go between 8am -3pm on weekdays really disappoints me. The green prescription program is a government funded program to support those who really need more physical activity and are struggling to do so eg mental illness, disabilities, injuries. So the fact you boost you are helping this program yet you hardly do so is frustrating. If you will only 'help' at times that are convenient to you it's not about helping people in need. It's about getting to say you are without any effort or genuine help from your end. People who have the green prescription are often simultaneously struggling to exercise because of the time eg having to work full-time despite alignments. So the fact that all those people who qualify and have this can't come yet you still boost your helping them.. yuck. Either help for real or don't bother. But don't boost about your community help for green prescription when it's only what's convenient to you and very unhelpful for those in need.

Positive experience: Great classes and very friendly staff. Changing rooms at the gym have all been upgraded.

Negative experience: Yesterday we went to the gym to do the 3 days trial with my husband and the receptionist guy told us it was not longer available this month. Even if we had to pay we didn’t matter but his way of treating potential new customers was awful, he didn’t offer other options and he didn’t try to be nice. Our friends recommended this gym that’s why we went, of course we started in another gym.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym esp, after the Reno the cardio equipment is state of the art. I used the elliptical trainer and could select the outdoor setting of the lavender fields in Provence France. The spin classes are so fab as well only 30 minutes but such a great little workout. The trainers and everyone is so friendly and helpful, this is one of my favorite places to work out in Tauranga.

Fantastic experience: Very good gym with friendly people, only problem is gets very busy at peak hours and somewhat small.

Negative experience: WAS my new happy place. Love the openness of the place. Helpful staff too. Some of the members are a lot to be desired. I know you have too clean the gym equipment after you use it, but there is way too much spraying of the cleaning product by one member. So much so that there was a cloud in the air.

Fantastic experience: Very lovely staff, the amenities are comfortable, and classes very good for amateur people. Many thanks to Linda who made our training plan for me and my partner. She's very motivate and helpful to teach you the machines. First time in NZ that we feel that the trainer is worry about us. I almost forget to mention the pools, is the best part of this. Congratulations to the team :)

Fantastic experience: A terrific bunch of people who work there, most helpful and always up for a laugh. I truly enjoyed my daily workouts with plenty of space, equipment and in such a clean environment. Loads of parking and of course all the swimming pools, spas and steam rooms below. If you're looking for a gym, then you can't walk past this place. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym, not full of pretentious types, very welcoming and have just started, Mark and Ethan have been awesome setting me up a plan as I'm a total newbie to gym life, even the lady at the front desk was awesome and friendly as I struggled my way through using the bike!! My partner and I have really enjoy the environment and the set up is awesome! Also love hitting the pools and spa afterwards! Highly recommended!!!

Negative experience: Had an expensive jacket stolen from this gym. Staff members were not helpful when trying to find the thief.

Negative experience: Came to look at the gym and the equipment is good but the staff are very rude. Needed some help and a lady at reception "michele" seemed like she didnt want to talk and was more interested in the computer before walking away and coming back 5 minutes later. She was then short with me and couldn't answer my questions. No idea how this person has a job here but thats the reason I didn't sign up. M D

Positive experience: Very high tech equipment and lots of facilities. The personal trainers are very supportive and they will help you reach your goals. There is always a good view when working out wether it be the pools, bayfair or the mount

Fantastic experience: Good gym. Friendly and helpul staff, qualified to put you on the right track with training. Has everything you need; free weights area, with two flat benches, 1 inclined, 1 declined, 45deg leg press. An open area with kettlebells and seletion of barbells , floor and/or box excersises, with a large rectangular multipurpose workout frame for squats, pullups and other sports related exercises. Interactive Cardio machines with usb charging, including 2 step machines, cycle and recumberent cycle, rowing, running machines (standard type and the curved speed fit type) , cross trainers. Many Resistance machines, a few listed; pull down, assisted pull up, shoulder press, chest press, row, crunch, leg extension, leg press.

Positive experience: Found a better gym while I was in Tauranga. Staff here was not knowledgeable enough.

Positive experience: Very good! If you want you can take a personal class for your routine every 6 weeks, however you still have an assistant every day.

Fantastic experience: Such a great gym with an awesome environment! I went in the other day as a casual which was a no fuss experience. The staff are super friendly and there is an awesome range of equipment. Would definitely recommend Clubfit to anyone looking for a gym.
