Advance Fitness Invercargill

Negative experience: I never ended up getting a membership here, and honestly, I'm kind of glad I didn’t. I wanted to explore other options first, so I gave them a call, thanked them for reaching out, and asked for an email with pricing info. I let them know I’d get in touch if I was interested. After that, I started getting two calls a day for over a week. I couldn’t answer because I was working, but it felt like spam—just nonstop pressure to sign up. It really turned me off. I get that they want more members, but this wasn’t the best approach.

Negative experience: Started out loving the Conon St gym but have slowly found it’s not worth the membership fees, always broken machines as no one stops the idiots from bashing them, it’s a pretty rundown interior and grubby - the hole in the ceiling from roof leaks was gross and marked off so many machines for a few weeks, over Dec/Jan and the Infrared Sauna was an advantage that soon soured as the staff didn’t check if it was on and heating between clients so often wasn’t hot when I went to use it in the evening, also another thing that wasn’t given any cleaning from staff - so grubby as well. Really find it hard to justify paying the fees for a gold membership now in a place that is so lack lustre and staff don’t seem to care.

Positive experience: I go to dee st gym in the winter it is freezing no heating in the summer it's so hot no fans work no air flow and you can hardly breathe they need to get there act together or members will leave

Fantastic experience: I've been a member for months but finally went in and did a workout at the Body Combat class! Loved it...I certainly felt every muscle cringe and hurt but was so so worth the effort. The staff are friendly and our Task Master in class was a roaring lioness...great motivator! Will b back for more action and pain haha

The new management has made some incredible changes and it's great to see the difference as soon as you walk into the club. The new staff are so friendly and helpful and I will definitely be recommending Advance Fitness to my all friends and family.
