Negative experience: The people there were quite rude to my friend and had no respect to others around them

Positive experience: We had a splashing time! Nice pools and large spa suitable for all ages. Very affordable pricing. The showers were great but could use some hooks or benches to place your belongings. Lucky it wasn't too busy, so we got to use the one hook allocated to the 10 or so showers...

Fantastic experience: My boys had a blast! (aged 5 and 7) Between Stratford, Hawera, and New Plymouth, this is the best aquatic centre. Includes mini slide, climbing wall, floating apparatus including inflatable boats that fits an adult, wave machine, hot pools/spas. The cafe is very convenient and the playgrounds just up the lane are epic. Next visit, we're definitely coming back

Negative experience: Our kids had a great time until a woman decided to sunbath with only a g-sting on. C'mon it's a family swimming pool for goodness sake!

Negative experience: Waited patiently as two people cut in when entering. Unsupervised kids bombing into lanes in 50m pool. Nothing done about it. Changing room smelt medieval. Pool water felt thick and gross (outside). Fell ill with a violent stomach bug the next day.

Negative experience: There was faeces on the ground of the pool. How did that get there? God knows. Will i be coming back with my kids? NO.

Fantastic experience: To heal my back and my left arm through WARM water is the best feeling -- It's been a long time since I went back to Aquatic Centre during a week day - Felt very mellow - relaxing with other Adults who also needed the quiet, Healing vibes - The Attendance people were calm and respectful - Awesome atmosphere and Cheaper than a Chiropractor. Worth $6.50 for Adult and stay as long as you need.

Negative experience: The life guards were being biest to the other swimmers my son got pushed off and they didn’t do anything

Positive experience: Piscine sympa, le personnel est accueillant ! Comptez 6,5$ pour une entrée adulte ! Backpackers, pas besoin de demander le tarif pour une douche, c’est le même prix qu’une entrée, profitez en pour faire quelques longueurs, ça fait toujours du bien après avoir pris la route !

Negative experience: Worst experience. Enrolled and paid $260 for both my children to learn to swim for the term. Waited 20 minutes and no instructor showed up! Then we were told my daughter wasn't even enrolled! Not a good first impression for swimming lessons for me and my children! My children were guttered as they were excited starting swimming lessons.Then i asked for my money back and the receptionist said she can't refund the money!! I have to go through the swim school!! I paid for a service I never recieved!! I won't be supporting this business again.

Positive experience: A really cool family friendly pool, something for everyone. Inflatables, rope swing, jumping ledge, wave pool, slides. We really liked the waves, would've been good if it'd turned on a bit more often. Pool was incredibly busy the day we visited, so much so that kids were constantly banging into us and I saw several times where kids had their inflatable boats practically on top of other people or kids- bit dangerous given pool is really deep. I don't recommend going on the hydroslide if you're even a couple kg over the weight limit- you'll shoot down it SUPER DUPER FAST!!!

Fantastic experience: What a terrific olympic sized outdoor pool!! Sparkling clean, plenty of casual area around the pool, clean changerooms....and an order of blue sky weather....loved it!

Negative experience: I didn't like it, unsafe place for children, especially the hot pool. Please, rules must be established to protect them. I saw lonely men standing suspiciously close and looking at girls and boys, talking to them, without knowing them at all. Observe and you will realize quickly.

Negative experience: The pool was good.... but while we were there someone pooed in the kids pool ‍♀️ The changing rooms reek of urine. Splash a bit of chlorine down there to clean it up! I don't understand why they smell so bad.

Positive experience: Centre aquatique très sympa. Un beau plongeoir extérieur, un piscine d'activité amusante. Le toboggan est avec supplément et ferme plus tôt, les casiers sont payants.

Negative experience: Terrible, they are considering a rule change to enable them to dictate what our young people should or should not wear. Like a communist country but smaller and with swimming pools. Nice work on the body shaming. All because one cry baby Karen had a winge. It's not 1930, we don't swim in long pants and dresses. Careful you don't show an ankle here, you may be lynched.

Negative experience: Be warned. The manager is considering a ban on women wearing g string bikinis, opening the path to a human rights commission inquiry which will be launched if this goes ahead. Your daughters aren't safe here if this goes ahead.

Negative experience: Disgusting use of the sauna steam room. There are signs that say you MUST wash before going into the spa or the main pool. The only thing we saw was a 'lifeguard' checking for 2 seconds who was in the sauna.

Positive experience: The life guards are useless and they just stand around, even the people there were more helpful. But everything else is pretty awesome! The swimming pools are very warm once you get used to it!

Negative experience: There is never enough seating around to supervisor your children specially when there swimming lessons on, and the signal is very poor too specially inside. And it's so stuffy in there it makes me feel sick!!

Positive experience: Swimming lesson assessment/progress certificate was based on an assessment not done as child was away sick for assessment. Pretty appalling but a good way to make extra money for the pools. Won't be taking child to lessons at this place again.

Negative experience: 6,5$ for a cold shower or very inconsistent shower. I guess they had an issue but when I went to tell them they didn’t do anything about my issue

Negative experience: Najdrahšia ($6,50) a neskutočne studená sprcha na Novom Zélande! Ak by som chcela studenú sprchu tak idem na pláž a zadarmo. Pani na recepcii sa mi ani neospravedlnila a nesnažila sa napraviť moju nespokojnosť. Stažovali sa viaceré dámy v sprchách. Našťastie je toto môj posledný deň v New Plymouth

Fantastic experience: Outside lap pool temperature is ideal, especially if air temperature is a little “low”

Negative experience: Charging fool entry to someone that just wants to have a shower. Really? You are the only one in the whole north island doing that... There are so many people living in cars and it is not always by choice.

Negative experience: For some reason today the toilets and change rooms were horrible. There was poo on the floor for the toilets and the change rooms were next level with the smell of the piss.

Positive experience: Great pool but the big let down was the state of your family change rooms and toliets which were pretty gross! All you could smell was pee. Other than that let down it's a great place

Fantastic experience: Good for all ages. Most life guards I've seen on duty at any pools. So if you can't swim. Best to come here.

Positive experience: Awesome place. Good Cafe and staff. Have been a support worker for young people with special needs and the staff were great. I like going with my mother and friends also. I know the life guards have to watch out for people, but find they let the young ones stack up the floaty boards and people can miss out. That's my only grumble.

Fantastic experience: A very cool swimming complex! A variety of pools ; warm toddler pool, warmer wave pool (every hour or so-unsure) and a spa. Outside pools I think are cooler. The wave pool also has sprinklers that would come on every so often which we so fun for the children! A tarzan rope, inflatable and a hydroslide-over 8s. oh and a smaller slide for the under 8s. I think I counted about 7 lifeguards on watch while we were there on a busy Sunday afternoon. I have been to pools where the young life guards tend to be there for a chit chat with co workers, but these guys were watching the pools like hawks. Would recommend!

Place to eat dinner.! Nice warm spa for therapy.! Sauna to detox for health benefits.! Gym facility club to help promote better health and body confidence.! Great for aqua jogging exercise.! As has deep enough pool.! Water aerobics classes for all ages.! Swimming lessons to help the little ones/teenagers that are new to swimming learn how to swim.! Nice cafe for a lunch/brunch snack for after your swimming activity.! Indoor/outdoor swimming pools.!

Negative experience: Disappointing. Went to use the hot spa. Showed it was 38 degrees but the water was not really hot. Hence small kids could be in the the hot pool. I felt like I was in a kids pool. The jets also were very weak. Lastly the showers in the changing rooms also did not have proper hot water. Sad when it was freezing outside. Please get organised.

Fantastic experience: Good place to be with family of all ages,inside pools for cooler weather and outside pools for the summer climate. The sauna is my fav hot nice relaxing. The spa early morn or late evening and the pool :-) says it all

Fantastic experience: Great pool facilities. We brought the u14 netball girls here to relax after a long tournament. They loved the slides and using inflatables with the wave pool. Only thing to be aware of is that the slides and wave pool turn off at 5pm.

Fantastic experience: The aquatic center has all the facilities you need to enjoy with a group, small family or bigger group. Has activities that everyone can enjoy including outdoor pools, and beautiful view of sea along with Spa and sauna. Car parking is further away from center but overall very pleasant experience. Forgot to mention the wave pool

Fantastic experience: One of the best pools that I’ve been to in NZ. Inside pool has waves, climbing wall, loads of inflatables and foam squares. Outside has three pools, diving boards and a wonderful lap pool. And the cafe does incredible fresh chips. And all this for $4!!!! Seriously. $4 and kids under 8 are free. Oh, and loads of lifeguards which makes you feel very safe. Oh and two hydra slides. Amazing place and highly recommended.

Positive experience: Fantastic please. Awesome facilities. Food store ask for vaccine pass, but the aquatic center doesn't, which does not make any sense. Anyway, Great place.
