Positive experience: Very friendly staff, clean showers, the toilets inside the gym need more regular cleaning, the ones in the lobby are better, I've attended twice a week for the last 2 months with heart rehab group. Very well equipped.

Fantastic experience: We held my daughter's birthday party here and the team at the Centre were so incredibly helpful and made the process so easy and communicative. The hiring fee is so reasonable and included use of table and chairs. I would highly recommend holding your events here!

Fantastic experience: Our favorite YMCA. Very friendly and helping staff. Lots of free weights, machines and cardio equipment. Still in the evening quite busy and full.

Negative experience: The gym isn't bad, it's nice to see a range of people working out not just gym junkies, and there's a range of equipment available most of the time. However, I'm surprised the pricing is so high. Considering the gym is not 24/7, it seems extreme to pay $15-30 per week, especially when other gyms are charging lower rates for 24/7 access and waiving joining fees. I'm also disgusted by the state of the washrooms. All the times I've been in they have been unclean - once with all the sanitary bins overflowing, once with skid marks on all three toilets. There are frequently a few flies and sandflies around the toilets because of this. Considering the price for pretty average facilities which need more regular cleaning, I think I'll be changing gyms soon.

Negative experience: I want to complaint David long incharge mt albert ymca Saturday afternoon ball games for Asian community. We did not received cancelation notice for multiple weeks, we lounged a complaint inquired them to investigate, he says I complaint to the wrong crew, he feel uncomfortable and kicked us out gym. We have been unlawful discriminated, we are been protected by Human Rights Act 1993 in this country. We attempt to dispute within club, but he already the head, so we have to get ymca or synergy to step in

Fantastic experience: Very clean and well managed. A great place to spend time with kids.

Negative experience: Used to be great, however, the worker at the front front desk who said he had been working there for 2 months made it unnecessarily difficult for my partner to pay for a student's casual deal. He condescendingly accused her of not being a student and stated that her photo of her student ID was not enough, and told her he had to see the back of the card too which held the expiry date. We then logged in to her university account, before he said that was not enough evidence, so my partner had to scroll through dozens of her emails to find an enrollment receipt. He then took a prolonged glance at it before allowing her in. His behaviour was extremely accusatory, and I have had less scrutiny on ID from bouncers at clubs which serve alcohol. My partner suggested he talk to another worker which we knew who could confirm she was of student status, but he proceeded to passive agressively say that that worker was of a lower position than him, being "only a casual worker". He then said "even I could be a student". This is a great example of what not to do to get customers, as before our encounter, both my partner and I were thinking about joining the YMCA again.

Positive experience: Great place to take the kids out. Plenty of activities to do to keep them busy, nice seating area to have a quick meal. The overall maintenance of the playground is something to be desired, but it isn't terrible. One thing to watch out for would be the flocks of Pigeons around the area.

Positive experience: YMCA are great because you can have a membership and use their facilities all over Auckland. We go to the gym here now and use the pools at Onehunga and Glen Innes. Well managed facilities and friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: Great range of rooms and activities for all ages. The classes are fun and reasonably priced. No Grainer Cafe is on-site and nearby is the Rocket Park playground, a flying fox and a big grassy area.

Fantastic experience: YMCA is the essential Hubspot Community venue which services the entire community and beyond. From Babies, Mums and Toddlers, Primary to College age and of course Adults to Seniors. All feel included. Fitness, Recreation and programmes befitting both fun and creative to Special needs like Dance Movement Therapy. It's the people wearing the YMCA uniform who take pride in what they do and empower all aspects of bettering mental and physical well being.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing facility! We were there to perform a science show for the wonderful YMCA holiday programme. Super lovely staff! Arrived early so grab a yummy scroll and tumeric latte from the No Grainer Cafe (on site). What a treat.
